The story

He can dodge a ghost.
Can he dodge Boo-Llot?

Halloween is approaching. Donald expects pumpkins, candy and a few harmless ghosts. Instead, a ballot box knocks on his door.

Its name is Boo-Llot. Its eyes glow purple. Its grin is suspicious. And it has absolutely no intention of leaving after Halloween.

As the midterms approach, Boo-Llot follows Donald across America: through rallies, golf courses, haunted hallways and the occasional midnight trip to the fridge.

“Next state. New scare.”

The haunting is fiction. Our election explainers will keep facts, sources and dates separate from the jokes.

Boo-Llot is cheeky, persistent and remarkably good at appearing where he isn’t wanted. His favourite props: ballots, pumpkins and Donald’s missing candy.

Our planned daily series: two state spotlights and one comic. State reports will include population, relevant races, political background and sourced polling where available.

Reports are being prepared. Not every state elects a governor or U.S. senator in 2026. Polls will show their source and fieldwork dates; unavailable polling will not be invented.
